The Business Systems Analyst III will report to the Department Manager.

Responsible for formulating and defining complex information systems scope and objectives through research, analysis, testing, and fact-finding combined with a comprehensive understanding of business systems and industry requirements. Serves as a pro-active business partner and as part of a global team to enable business through technology in an integrated enterprise systems environment. Understands current market trends and best practices and formulates some propositions to enhance the business performance.

• First level contact of the business for any inquiries including systems support, improvement analyses, and advice
• Provides ongoing responsibility for system failure prevention, system problem calls and user inquiries. This includes regular system maintenance and support which will require evening, weekend, and on-call support.
• Leads constant improvement opportunities and appropriately challenges processes to ensure global consistency.
• Responsible for evaluating and developing reliable and efficient solutions to fulfill complex business requirements.
• Responsible for system configuration, unit testing, integration testing, user acceptance, and deployment. Provides post-implementation process and application support; acts as work stream leader from start to finish. May write or review functional specifications.
• Creates detailed project plans and project estimates. Manages functional projects through the project lifecycle. May manage process area, from design through post-implementation.
• Has knowledge of peer companies and of the business strategy; translates long-term objectives into practical solutions; networks and benchmarks to gain insights into the potential use of new tools, processes, and techniques.
• Generates ideas for IS products and services that provide realistic and tangible benefit; contributes to ROI associated with projects.
• Provides leadership and training to less experienced Analysts and Interns; develops training materials; trains power users.

Level of Education and Discipline:

• Bachelor's Degree, May consider 10 years of related experience in lieu of degree. in Business or related area.
• Experience - 5 years comprehensive IT project related experience, demonstrated ability to act as a work stream leader.
• 5 years in-depth knowledge in more than one business area and detailed understanding of interdependencies.
• Understands project budgeting process, tracks the cost of actions and decisions.
• In-depth knowledge/understanding of business processes/interdependencies outside of home country through project participation/experience.
• Understands current market trends and best practices and formulates some propositions to enhance business performance.
• Interpersonal Skills - leadership, interactions, communication, influence.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team or as a team lead.
• Ability to develop effective working relationships (external, peer and company).
• Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Interacts frequently with peers to Director (presents to and interacts with function heads and steering committees.
• Acts as a mentor and coach within team and across GBS and proactively shares knowledge.

Proven leadership and project management skills. Ability to adjust to changes, deal with uncertainties and adapt to adjustments to project plans. Understands full project lifecycle and project budgeting process.
